We are pleased to announce our 2020 forums will be in The Netherlands at the Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam.
We will host our third Retina Forum on Wednesday 30 September, one day before our European Forum.
Ophthalmology Futures Forums are clinician-driven innovation meetings focusing on new technology, entrepreneurial ventures, market access and other aspects of commercialisation in the ophthalmic healthcare sector. They cover all aspects of global innovation in ophthalmic devices, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals by connecting scientists, physicians, regulators, reimbursement specialists, corporate leaders, venture capitalists and other investors who support the advancement of eye care. With the global ophthalmology device market projected to reach USD 58.05 billion by 2021, this is a growth industry.
Registration is not currently open for our forums in Amsterdam, but will be shortly.
The 2020 Retina and European forums will take place at the Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, overlooking the townhouses and canals of the city.
About Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam
As its name suggests, the Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam has a long, and illustrious history. But, what makes this 300 year old Grande Dame one of the best luxury hotels in the canal district, is how remarkably well she’s aged. She had help though, of course, courtesy of Interior Architect Sybille de Margerie whose deft facelift is closer to artistry than a brick and mortar renovation work.
The result, is a confluence of styles and epochs. The contemporary rooms come with large period windows, front seats to the constant to-and-fro of boats across the canal. In the lobby, the old-world-grandeur of high ceilings and marble floors juxtapose with delicate light installations, whilst in the ballrooms, painstaking efforts have gone into preserving all of the original art-deco glory where Dutch Royal weddings were celebrated.
For the hotel’s crown jewel, head to the Bridges, a Michelin star restaurant with uninterrupted views over the townhouses and canals of the city.
